Matityahu (Michael) Glassman

Originally from Atlanta, GA, I moved to Israel with my wife, Julie, in 2010.  We have 2 young children--a girl and a boy--and we're proud to say that they are both first generation Jerusalemites.

In the States, I spent 4 years in New Orleans, LA studying at Tulane University, and hold a degree in Classical Studies and Ancient History.  Between college and moving to Israel, I spent a total of 5 years in the Washington, D.C. area working in politics, focusing on issues related to the U.S.-Israel relationship, and another 2 years in Israel, studying in yeshiva and living/working on a kibbutz.

Before becoming a Licensed Tour Guide in Israel, I spent several years guiding in Jerusalem at the City of David, Western Wall Tunnels, and Southern Wall Excavations.

I pride myself on having a diverse background of experiences, a whole spectrum of interests, and an ability to connect with many different types of people.  My goal is not to lecture you or to try to show off my vast knowledge; rather I aim to teach, to guide, and to explore--all  in a way that allows you to experience and connect with the land and the people of Israel in a way that is fitting and unique to you.  For me, customizing your Israel experience is the name of the game.  I look forward to exploring the Land of Israel with you.
